Dr. Smita Singh is currently a freelancer with over 27 years of experience spanning industry and academia. Starting her career in the area of Human Resources, she was instrumental in laying the foundation and shaping the HR functions at JHU-KGMU Collaborative Projects, the predecessor to the Community Empowerment Lab.
She began her foray into academics as an Assistant Professor with the Institute of Management Sciences, University of Lucknow. Here, along with academics, she was actively involved in various administrative duties, namely: member – Course Restructuring Committee, Assistant DSW, Coordinator – LUIMS Placement Cell, Convener – Moderation Committee, Member – SFC Evaluation Committee and Assistant Superintendent – Examinations. As the Founder-Editor of IMS Newsletter and President of the Debating Society under Sanskritiki (the Cultural Club of University of Lucknow), she contributed to the literary and cultural activities of the University.
Over the years, Dr. Singh has been invited as a resource person to different organizations and institutes in Lucknow, such as Direct Taxes Regional Training Institute, Jagjivan Ram Railway Protection Force Academy, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Management Research and Technology, Navyug Girls’ PG College and Modern Girls College of Professional Studies.
A holder of the National Talent Search Examination Scholarship (NTSE) and the Ministry of HRD scholarship, Dr. Singh stood first in order of merit in the B.A. examinations of the University of Lucknow. She has also earned accolades and Certificates of Appreciation for her exemplary work at the University of Lucknow.
Dr. Singh has authored books in diverse fields, spanning self-development, poetry, and management. Additionally, she has several research papers and articles to her credit.
