Dr. Rijul Chaturvedi is an author, academic professional and researcher with a Ph.D. in Marketing from Indian Institute of Management Mumbai. His research focuses on the intersection of marketing and emerging technologies, particularly AI companions, customer experience, and Avatars. His thesis explores how digital companionship with both human and AI, shapes online shopping behavior. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as California Management Review, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Psychology & Marketing, and he has presented at global conferences including INFORMS society for Marketing Science and AMA. Before pursuing his doctoral studies, He served as an Academic Associate at IIM Indore and worked with BYJU’S, contributing to initiatives focused on the adoption and promotion of AI-enabled learning platforms. He holds a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University and P.G in Marketing & Operations from the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM). He has also contributed to community outreach initiatives through association with awareness campaigns in Jaipur, he has supported efforts to educate the public about consumer rights, digital fraud, and the ethical use of AI. These experiences have further deepened his understanding of technology’s societal impact. A recipient of several research grants and fellowships, he actively reviews for leading journals and conferences.
