Dr. Shalini Verma has over two decades of experience in teaching, training, research, consultancy, and the publishing industry. Apart from her Ph.D. in Communications and Diplomas in (a) Training & Development and (b) Business Administration, she has a Master’s degree in three areas — English Literature, Communications & Journalism, and Human Rights. Currently, She is working as an Associate Professor with Jaipuria Management Institute in Noida, which is one of the top MBA colleges in Delhi NCR.
She has authored 56 books across genres — 20HE (Higher Education including Management), 26 ELT (English Language Teaching), and 10 Test Prep books. She has also been writing columns, both in English and Hindi, for leading national newspapers, including Hindustan Times.
Dr. Verma is a Communication Consultant and a renowned Body Language Expert in the country. Her book Body Language: Your Success Mantra, published way back in 2005 by S. Chand & Company Ltd., New Delhi, happens to be the first book written by an Indian author on the subject.
Apart from writing and training, she has been associated as Visiting Professor - Communication, with several reputed B-schools, including IIMs and TAPMI, Manipal. Dr. Verma was formerly associated as Asst. Professor - Business Communication, with AACSB-accredited India MBA program of College of Business, Ohio University, US, and ISTAO, Italy (Europe).
She has offered to consult services and conducted MDPs for senior, middle and entry-level executives internationally at CLEMENTONI, Italy, SACMA, Italy, FIAM, Italy, FAAM & INOXA, Italy, and nationally at the Hindustan Times (PACE), ICWAI, ICSI, NTPC, JK Tyres, IGL (Indraprastha Gas Ltd.), NFL (National Fertilizers Ltd.), TCL (Tata Chemicals Ltd.), IICM (Indian Institute of Coal Management) IFFCO, Power Grid, just to name few. She has traveled to the US, Europe, Middle East, and several South Asian countries for her teaching, consulting, and corporate training projects.
