Dr. Shivam Azad is an Assistant Professor in the Finance & Accounting domain at Jaipuria Institute of Management and holds a Doctorate from the Department of Management Studies, NIT Warangal. His doctoral research focused on Green Finance and Green Bonds. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed an MBA in Financial Management from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and a B.Com from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDUGU).

With experience in investment banking, including a role at an investment banking firm and an internship with Sharekhan Ltd., Dr. Azad has developed expertise in financial markets and sustainable finance. His research contributions have appeared in high-impact, ABDC-listed journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, including Business Strategy and the Environment, Sustainable Development, and the International Journal of Global Business and Competitiveness. He has also received two Best Paper Awards at international conferences.

He was part of a live project with GIZ India (headquartered in Germany), where he contributed to framing a response to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on sustainability related financial policies. His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of finance, sustainability, and policy making.
