Dr. Shailesh Pandey is a distinguished academician and accomplished educator with over 16 years of experience in the fields of marketing, consumer behavior, strategy, retailing, and branding. He holds an MBA from the University of Pune and a Ph.D. in Marketing, and his research has made significant contributions to these areas. His academic leadership includes serving as the Marketing Area Chair at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, where he has played a pivotal role in elevating the institution’s academic standing. He also chaired the institute’s Accreditation and Ranking Committee.
Dr. Pandey’s dedication to teaching excellence has been recognized through numerous best faculty awards based on student feedback. With a strong command of case writing and business case development, Dr. Pandey has published extensively in top-tier outlets, including the Harvard Business Review, Ivey Publishing, Society and Business Review (Emerald), Journal of Information and Optimization Sciences (Taylor & Francis), Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies, Asian Journal of Management Cases (Sage), ET Cases, and the Case Centre. Among his notable works is the bestselling case study, "Jio & Facebook: Adding Value through an Alliance," published by Ivey Publishing. His publications are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, reflecting the global impact of his research. He has also contributed to academic literature by authoring chapters in books published by renowned publishers such as Wiley and Himalaya Publishing House.
Dr. Pandey’s contributions extend beyond academia into professional development. He has conducted impactful Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Management Development Programs (MDP) for industry professionals. His programs include Achieving Customer Excellence for HPCL Dealers Digital Marketing for Managers for senior managers at Aditya Birla Group in 2019, Emotional Intelligence and Sales Negotiations for senior managers at AU Small Finance Bank in 2023, and How to Write a Good Case Study for a reputed publishing house at leading private universities in Pune.
