Dr. Himanshi Pandey, born and brought up in Ranchi, Jharkhand, holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kharagpur. She has also qualified the UGC-NET examination for Assistant Professor in English and completed an online certification in Sustainable Communication Strategies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Her research and teaching interests span Translation Studies, Sustainable Communication, Critical Reading and Writing, and Cultural Studies. She has published in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals, contributed book chapters with Bloomsbury, and her academic writings have also appeared with Sage. In addition, she has translated literary works from Hindi to English, with translations published in Muse India, Hyderabad Literary Festival Khabar, and other national and international platforms.
Dr. Himanshi has taught at MIT World Peace University, Pune, and Rajagiri Business School, Kochi, before joining Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur. She has engaged with students across the globe, tutoring learners from the UK, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, France, and Bangladesh, and served as a resource person in the UK-India Education Research Initiative.
Her academic journey is complemented by her creative pursuits. She was shortlisted for the Rama Mehta Writing Grant in 2025 for her short story and is an admirer of memoirs and stand-up comedy. A performer herself, she has appeared on NPTEL’s Speaking Effectively course and continues to explore dramatics and stand-up on stage.
