26th Foundation Day of Jaipuria Lucknow – We started with a few but now we are many not only in numbers but also in talent and creativity!

Being true to the above quote, Jaipuria Institute of Management has grown in all areas from a batch size of 60 to 360, 15 to 150 recruiters, from 1 program to 3 programs, and 5 to 40 faculty members. The 26 years of journey of Jaipuria Lucknow has been a sail smooth despite the disruptions only because of the constant support of the stakeholders and the team members, as it’s truly said ‘organization, no matter how well designed is only as good as the people who live and work in it.’

The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Gurcharan Das (Celebrated Author & Management Guru, Ex. CEO Procter & Gamble India) and the Guest of Honor was Er. Kumar Keshav (Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.). The event was graced by Dr. Kavita Pathak (Director, Jaipuria Lucknow), deans, faculties, and students.

The event commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp and the reciting of the Saraswati Vandana by the choir. Thereafter, Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, addressed the audience. She said that the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow is an institute that has bridged the gap of the lack of management learning. Considering this day as a solemn occasion, she thanked all the contributors and the stakeholders for their tremendous assistance. Further, she averred about several initiatives taken by the institute which included Management Development Programs, Faculty Internship Program, Faculty Mentorship Program and Design Thinking for Entrepreneurship and Individual Development Program, etc. She also mentioned the various collaborations the institute is linked with, that is, UPMRC, IIA, Gyan, etc., and how these are helping the students grow in each aspect of management.

Further, on this auspicious day, Jaipuria Institute of Management honored its alumnus, mothers of students, and covid warriors for showing enormous courage during the cumbersome times of covid. It also felicitated its valuable recruiters for offering placement opportunities and organizations for availing services in training/management development programs.

Moving along, Dr. Gurcharan Das, Chief Guest of the day, said that a management guru is someone who is good at understanding. He talked about the word Humanity which is characterized by doing the job and not getting obsessed by the credit. Integrity means making a living. Dr. Das shared with the audience his inspiring stories which left the audience in amaze. His views like ‘making money is to giving money, ‘making a life and not just making a living’ was thought-provoking

With a heavy heart, the institute remembered its 6 alumni that they lost in the last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and paid a heartfelt tribute to them. The institute also felicitated the meritorious students of batch 2020-2022 for their exquisite Academic Performance. Staff members were also recognized and rewarded for their never-ending support.

Thereafter, Er. Kumar Keshav, (Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.) was invited to address the audience. He emphasized living life with the utmost integrity and being happy every time. Mr. Keshav also talked about the two new projects in Agra and Kanpur and expressed that both will be implemented soon. The guest was further honored with a Memento, a Shawl, and a Green Certificate by Dr. Kavita Pathak.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks extended by Dr. R.K Ojha, Associate Dean, Academics. The event proved to be a great success with Jaipuria Lucknow recognizing all those who served the community in the COVID times. Being an educational institute, we truly believe that a ‘good education is the foundation of a better future’ we have been striving to build that foundation and will keep doing so!
