“Logistics has become an integral part of today’s world and ecommerce will further boom in near future. It means that the Logistics sector will have more dynamic opportunities. Being from Marketing and Operations background, I was open to both domains,” Bipasha Kashyap speaks like a seasoned professional with insights into the latest industry trends. It was this confidence and composure that helped her make the big impression when it mattered. The reward for the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida girl is placement with an up and coming brand name like Delhivery.
Bipasha has been offered a plum package and an interesting profile in Fulfillment Operations. But what makes her placement more remarkable is the fact that she was chosen from a strong pool of around 90 candidates from the four campuses of the B School. According to her, the placement processes was arduous because, “It lasted for a week right from the aptitude test to two personal interviews – Technical and HR. For the latter they asked me to describe myself, my friends, my parents in one word and give the reason for it,” she says reflecting on the process.
Now that’s a tricky proposition where you can easily overthink your answers. But Bipasha had appeared for the interview rounds with the aim of expressing herself freely. “I had decided to not get weighed down by the pressure. I gave the interview everything I had but without worrying about the results. I think that carefree confidence is what they were looking for,” she claims. The Assam girl who moved to Noida to pursue her corporate dreams believes the opportunity to interact with diverse minds on campus, and mentorship from faculty members helped her with the sound perspective.
Bipasha will now be heading back eastwards as she will be posted in Kolkata for her new role. She will be handling vital responsibilities like mapping the Business Contract versus situation on the ground, making apple to apple comparisons for various contracts, etc. “I feel I am prepared for the tasks that will be given to me because of my training at Jaipuria, Noida. I want to prove myself as a professional and rise up the organization while learning on the job. In the future I also want to start something with girl child education,” she says with her heart set on giving back to the society too.
