Debates are always better than arguments, because an argument is to find out who is right, and a debate is to find out what is right.”  This is your opportunity to highlight your oratory skills and emerge as a champion. Allow your voice to be heard above all, and your vistas to be the reason for your victory.

Rules & Regulation:
  • One-on-one debate with rebuttal format.
  • The debate will have two rounds:
  1. Round 1: Video submission (1.30-2min). The video should be less than 25mb. Deadline for submission is 3rd December 2022. The topic would be given before date.
  2. Round 2: Final debate between top 10 finalists from Round 1 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur. (Offline mode)

Guidelines

  • It is a Solo event.

Rules

  • All debates will be in Hindi language only.

  • In total 10 candidates will be qualified for the next round.

  • Participants will be alerted 15 seconds prior to their allotted time for rebuttal and conclusion round.

Note: The first 2 speeches are for defining and interpreting the motion, developing the case for the proposition, and arguing against the proposition. The “Rebuttal and conclusion” round will be a claim or to prove that evidence or accusation(s) put forward by the opponent is false, followed by concluding remarks.

Karma

You may not agree with an afterlife cycle of judgment, but you would easily agree with me that what we do does matter in the grand scheme of things. In your next slam poetry, it won’t be so bad to let people express what karma means to them, and this would make for an interesting discussion.

Registration Rules:

  • It is a Team Event.
  • Multiple Entries from one College/University are allowed.
  • Prior Registration is compulsory for all the teams.

General Rules:

  • The event comprises of three rounds
  • Elimination Round (Video Prelims).
  • Showcase Round.
  • Style Swap Round (Final Round)
  • Any form of dance style is allowed (like Bollywood, Hip-hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Salsa etc.) Folk, Classical and Semi – Classical dance forms are allowed.
  • No theme-based dance is allowed except the theme provided by the college i.e., FUSION OF DANCE FORMS
  • Team size may vary from 8 to 25. On stage the limit is 15, except for the third round.
  • Only 2 volunteers per team are allowed, excluding the team instructor/ non-performer choreographer (if any).
  • All submissions are to be made by the name Name_MobileNo_CollegeName.
  • The decisions of the judges will be final and binding in all rounds.
  • Exceeding the limit of participants and volunteers will lead to disqualification.

Round 1 – Elimination Round (Video Prelims)

  • Participants must send their videos of performance renamed with For example (Preeti_8723863140_JaipuriaInstituteOfManagement). The Video should be sent at stepup.abhyudaya22@gmail.com
  • Time limit: 3-4 minutes. Video size limit – 150 MB.
  • Video Submission Deadline- 1st Dec 2022.
  • The sent video should not be edited, it should be uncut; sending an edited video will lead to disqualification.
  • All the members in the video must be present during the actual performance.
  • Voiceovers and fusion music are allowed.
  • Vulgarity and obscenity at any point are strictly prohibited. It can lead to immediate disqualification. Songs are to be chosen accordingly.
  • The results for the same will be shared via Mail and the event’s WhatsApp Group by 4th December 2022.

Round 2: Showcase Round

  • Selected teams from Round 1 will perform the same extended performance as performed in the Elimination Round.
  • Time limit: 6-8 minutes.
  • The usage of props is allowed.
  • Teams will not be allowed to change their tracks or team members.
  • All the selected teams will be allotted a green room in this round.
  • Time will be allotted for stage marking, depending upon the circumstances. College and event authorities can’t be questioned or be held accountable for the same.
  • Voiceovers and fusion music are allowed.
  • Vulgarity and obscenity at any point are strictly prohibited. It can lead to immediate disqualification. Songs are to be chosen accordingly.

Round 3: Style Swap Round (Final Round)

  • Songs (of 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes each) will be assigned to each team 20 minutes prior to the final round.
  • Teams should perform the dance form according to the Judge’s wish (Dance Forms: Jazz, Bollywood, Hip-Hop and Contemporary) who may change it anytime (by announcing or using placards) throughout the duration of song.
  • No props are allowed in this round.
  • Total number of participants performing in this round will be 8.
  • Extra points shall be rewarded for creativity and spontaneity.

  • Team size: 2 members per team (irrespective of their genders)

On-stage round: 2-2.5 mins

  • All dance forms are allowed, including classical, semi-classical and folk and any western style – Hip Hop, Bollywood, etc (Adhering to the decorum of the event).
  • Team members can be from different colleges, but both should be students of any Educational Institute (actively).
  • Fusion of songs and voice overs are allowed.
  • The sent video should not be edited, it should be uncut; sending an edited video will lead to disqualification.
  • Music should be brought in a pen drive in Mp3 format only. Participants must adhere to the time limit.
  • Any kind of fluid, flames, powder glitters, heavy or shop objects which has the possibility of damaging the stage are not allowed.
  • Vulgarity and sanity at any point will lead to disqualification.
  • Decision of the judge will be final.

In this round, participants have to prepare a dance performance adhering to the given time limit and will have to submit their video on the email id mentioned below.

In this round, participants have to come up with an extended dance sequence performed in the online round. There are no pre-decided themes for this round.

Round 3: Prop Round

In this round, props and a new track will be provided to the participants who have qualified for the third round. After the announcement of the results of second round, participants will be given around 45 mins to prepare for the final round.

Rules:

  • Each team will get (7+3) minutes to deliver their presentation and Questions & Answers.

ROUND 1: (Submission Date – 03rd December, 2022)

  •  Round 1 will be an elimination round.
  • Participants must send their video, playing any instrument of their choice. (Maximum Duration 1:30 minutes; Maximum File Size: 50 MB).
  • Backing track is permitted (participants have to inform in the beginning of the performance.)
  • Participants are requested to compress the video before submission.
  • No additional editing is permitted, Video should be recorded in one take at normal speed.
  • The video should be shot in such a way that the participant should be clearly visible playing the instrument.
  • Last Date to submit the videos is 03rd December,2022.
  • Videos to be submitted at the Email ID provided below.
  • All submissions to be done by the name Name_MobileNo_CollegeName

ROUND 2:

Videos of the finalists will be posted on the Abhyudaya’s Official Instagram Page

wherein social media engagement would carry 10% weightage for the evaluation

Registration Rules

  • It is a solo event
  • Multiple entries from a college/university are allowed

 

The Rules and Regulations are as follows:

  • The submissions will be taken through E-mail provided below.
  • A participant can upload only one photograph per theme, i.e., three entries per participant are allowed.
  • No photographs should be copied from the internet and two duplicate photos of any participant found will be disqualified.
  • The photograph should be renamed with Name_institute name_contact number (i.e., SurbhiGupta_JaipuriaJaipur_123******0).
  • Photographs can be uploaded till 5th December 2022.
  • It can be in Landscape/Portrait mode.
  • Photographs can be captured through DSLR, Mirrorless, Point and Shoot, Smartphone, Action cameras.
  • The photograph must be original and the use of a watermark is strictly prohibited.
  • Photographs should be no larger than 10 MB and must be in JPEG format.
  • You are required to provide a unique title for the photograph submitted.
  • Basic editing including colour enhancement and cropping of the photograph is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and genuineness of the photograph.
  • Digital manipulation or collages are not allowed.
  • If any of the rules mentioned above are violated, the participant will be disqualified.
  • Submission will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
  • According to the judgement criteria, top performing photographs will be uploaded on the official page of Abhyudaya 2022, afterwards, winners will be declared on the basis of maximum likes and comments on the postings.
  • Decisions taken by the judges will be considered as final.

Pointers: –

  • Entries must be the original work of the participants and must not copied from any 3rd party’s rights.

  • The content of the movie should be fit for public screening without any vulgarity.
  • Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind is not allowed and will lead to straight disqualification.

  • Postings will be done on 12th December 2022
  • Participants will be given two days to curate Social Engagement for their post.

Registration Guidelines –

  • This is a Team event.
  • Team Size will be between 3-4 members (Remember not to exceed the team size beyond 4 and minimum members should be 3).
  • Multiple entries from a College/University are allowed.
  • All members of the teams will participate in the Side Activities to win more resources to create the artwork.
  • The theme for the artwork is Sustainability, wherein all the teams have the freedom to choose any topic of their own which matches this head.

 Rules –

  • Every team has to reach the venue 30 minutes before the event starts.
  • Limited and equal amount of resources will be provided to each team at the beginning of the round.
  • While we provide you with limited resources, you can stand a chance to claim more resources by participating in certain side activities.
  • Participation in these activities will be mandatory. And all the members must be a part of at-least one activity.
  • The artwork should belong to the theme of the event.
  • Each team must submit their artwork with a proper write-up explaining the reason behind their art piece.
  • The total time allocated to complete the artwork would be 45 minutes. It does not include the time for different activities which will be held in between to make you EARN your favorite resources.
  • You have to work hard to EARN your Resources.
  • For conducting the activities in between, we have a buzzer for you all and that will be your sign to start the work and also to stop it.
  • Once an activity is started, we will pause your time. The time of your activities will not be counted in the final artwork time.
  • Use of mobile phones while making your artwork is prohibited whereas during performing the activities is allowed.
  • For any sort of misbehavior by any individual will directly result in the disqualification of the entire team.

Judgment Criteria –

  • Each team will be evaluated based on their creativity and the artwork inclination towards the theme.
  • Remember we have marks for the Time as well. Coming late would be counted as a penalty and deduction of marks.

  • 8 Teams will move forward after the Elimination Round.

  General Guidelines  
  • Team Size-2 members.
  • Cell phones are not allowed.
  • There will be 3 rounds.
  • No personal cash will be allowed.
  • Using unfair means will lead to disqualification.
  • It is required to get at least one of each commodity in the final round.
  • One contingent/college can enroll more than 1 team.
  Round I (Crossword Round)
  • There will be a crossword puzzle-solving task consisting of 10 questions.
  • Time limit-5 minutes
  Round II (Task Round)
  • This round consists of a task-based round. The team will be allotted a time-based task on spot.
  • Judgment will be based on the respective task only.
  Round III (Final Round)
  • Qualifying teams will barter their commodities in this round.
  •  Time Limit-45-60 minutes
  • Each item carries a specific number of points.
The team with the maximum points will win the game.
