When Jayanti Jain, a Biotechnology graduate, joined Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow in 2010, she thought that she could probably fit only into an HR specialisation role.
“Accounting and Finance were new to me. But the faculty, the well-managed teaching pattern, and my batch-mates at Jaipuria Lucknow helped turn these subjects into my strength.”
Her summer internship with Union Bank of India in 2011 prepared her well for the placement season in Jaipuria Lucknow. She feels that during the placements, the extra classes at Jaipuria Lucknow also proved very helpful when it was time for the interviews.
“The interview panel of Oriental Bank of Commerce initially asked introductory questions regarding my family and educational background. But very soon, the interview turned into a discussion on my summer training project, which helped me get the placement.”
Jayanti believes that life in Jaipuria Lucknow has completely shaped her personality and her professional path. She fondly remembers Talaash – a fest that is more of a talent hunt among first-year students. At Jaipuria Lucknow she participated in numerous events, won the 2nd prize in badminton and as a member of the alumni committee of Jaipuria Lucknow, coordinated meetings of the various alumni chapters.
