Dr. Nupur Gupta is a passionate academician and an avid researcher with a doctorate in Business Management (Finance area) from BIT, Mesra. She was featured in the list of India’s Best finance teachers for the year 2021 by the Association of India’s Wealth Management of India now (Equalify). She received the best women faculty award in 2022 by DKIRF, the Global faculty award in 2023 by AKS Foundation, the Prof. Y.K.Bhushan award for most influential professors by the World Education Congress in 2023, and the Madhya Pradesh Woman Leader ward by the World Women Leadership Congress in 2024.

Prior to joining Jaipuria Institute of Management, she worked at the School of Business Management - NMIMS, University, Navi Mumbai as an Assistant Professor in Finance (2019-2022). Her other teaching engagements include- teaching at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany (visiting professor, in 2018 ), KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (2013-2017); Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management (2007-2013) and Sadhana Centre for Management & Leadership Development (2007) as core faculty.

She is an economics graduate from Delhi University and MBA (Finance), ICFAI Business School, and has a CFA charter from ICFAI (India). Her areas of teaching include Corporate Finance, Wealth Management, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, Financial Markets & Institutions, and Fixed Income Securities.

Prior to joining academia, she had worked with HDFC Bank on the retail front as a Relationship Manager for HNI clients. She started her career as a management trainee in Mutual Funds advisory with SKP Securities, Ltd.

She has authored more than 20 research papers, in Scopus indexed and ABDC list of journals. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences to present her research work. Most of her research is empirical in nature, in which she has used statistical and econometric methods to address the research problem.

Currently, She is working as an Associate Professor with Jaipuria Institute of Management, which is one of the best PGDM/MBA colleges in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and provides MBA equivalent PGDM courses in different streams.
