Dr. Kumar holds the degree of Ph.D., and an MBA in Finance from the Birla Institute of Technology (BITs, Mesra). He is UGC-Net qualified, holds multiple degrees and certificates from the world’s leading universities like financial analytics from the Wharton University of Pennsylvania, Understanding Financial market from University De Geneve, Global Financial Markets, and Instruments from Rice University.
Dr. Kumar is currently working as an Associate professor in finance with Jaipuria Institute of Management, which is India's best college for MBA in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Before joining Jaipuria Institute of Management, he worked as Associate Professor ( FinTech and Business Analytics) and Chair professor – PG program at GITAM( Deemed to be) University, Visakhapatnam. He taught in PG programs of many universities and Institutions during his tenure in academia- Birla Institute of Technology, Presidency University- Bengaluru, IMS Unison University, Entrepreneurship & Management Process International-Delhi (visiting), NMIMS, Mumbai ( Visiting- NGASCE), etc.
He completed a funded project titled “Climbing up the Sanitation Ladder: A Study on Menstrual Health in Koppal District, Karnataka” under the umbrella of the CLTS scheme. He has authored a book on Health care.
He is a prolific writer, published 25 research papers, articles, and chapters in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus, ABDC, etc., and presented his research papers at many international conferences. Dr. Kumar has organized three conferences and two workshops on Data Analysis techniques for decision Making using Statistical Software Tools. He is on the review board of many journals of repute published by Sage, Emerald, and Elsevier. He successfully ran two summer schools at the Birla Institute of management for Ph.D. scholars.
He carries a total experience of 15 years, percept blend of Industry and academia; he served two giants of the Indian financial Industry ICICI bank Ltd and Reliance Capital service a Middle Management role in the Mumbai area along with the foreign assignment.
He served as an invited member of the board of studies of many universities, including JIS University, Kolkatta, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. His expertise lies in designing new courses in financial technology and analytics.
He is an invited member of the world's many leading societies, the International Society of Supply Chain Management, the Data Science Association of USA, Analytical Society of India (DCAL- IIM Bangalore), Data Professional Foundation of UK, and Pension and Investment club of Europe are some of them.
