Dr. Aalok Kumar is the prestigious Newton-Bhabha Fellow UK and Queen Elizabeth Fellow Canada. He did his Ph.D. in the area of Sustainable Freight Transportation Planning from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee India, and Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering & Management from IIT (BHU) Varanasi with a Gold Medal. Currently, Dr. Aalok Kumar is working with India's top MBA college in Lucknow named Jaipuria Institute of Management, as an Assistant Professor in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is a recipient of the prestigious Newton-Bhabha Fellowship awarded by the British Council UK and DST India. He was also Queen Elizabeth Visiting Fellow at the University Of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He also received travel grants from DST India, ICSSR India, EURO, Italy, and JMS, UK. He was also the recipient of the “best paper award” of the 18th GLOGIFT Society Conference organized by IIM Lucknow. His research interests are in the area of multimodal freight transportation planning, sustainable freight logistics planning, sustainable supply chain, and logistics 4.0. He published more than ten papers (including one A* and six A category in ABDC) in top reputed Journals such as Transportation Research Part A, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Transport Policy, among others. He has been presented work at conferences of top operations management societies such as POMS USA, DSI USA, ISDSI, EURO, SOM, IEOM USA, and JMS Society UK.
