Jaipuria Institute of Management organized “ National Workshop on “Cloud Computing for Modern Business Management”, on December 1,2012. The workshop was jointly organised by Jaipuria Jaipur & NCS Computech Ltd., Kolkata.
The sessions were addressed by galaxy of speakers from various organizations. Sh. Sharat Kaviraj, SP, SCRB,Cyber Crime Branch, Rajastan honored the Inaugural session followed by the session (Conducted by Mr.S.H. Abbas Mehdi , Deputy Director ,STPI, Govt. of India ,Noida) based on foundation of Cloud Computing, Scope, Applications and business benefits. Dr.S.K.Pandey from Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur covered the architectural framework of Cloud Computing for small business & academic institutions. Mr Aditya Mehta, Director, AMES Pvt. Ltd. also shared his experience on Private cloud implementation for SMEs.
Post lunch session was started by Mr Sidhartha Ranjan Thakur, Sr.Project Manager/Delivery Lead at Tech Mahindra Ltd., Mumbai . His session was based on the industry experience on cloud computing implementation. He considered some cases of successful cloud computing implementation. Mr Sidhartha emphasized the cloud computing implementation strategy in CRM, Telecomm etc. Final session was concluded by Mr.Manohar Malani, CMD, NCS Group. Mr Malani covered all the available solutions related to the cloud computing according to the need and scope of the organizations. He also focused on emerging trends in cloud computing. This workshop helped to understand the key aspects of cloud computing and it’s diversified applications in business. All participants learned how to use cloud computing as IT tool to run and manage business operations effectively. The program helped participants understand how to plan the use of cloud computing in their organizations and learn how to manage cloud computing resources effectively. The program also covered emerging trends in cloud computing to help participant better plan for the future cloud computing needs of their organisations.

Jaipur Institute of Management Jaipur organized its Inter College Dandiya Dhoom Competition, 2012 on the occasion of on going Navratra, forthcoming Dusehra and Deewali festivals. Different themes of Garba and Disco Dandiya were organized in this program.
In this evening Female/Male Dandiya Dance and Couple Dandiya Dance competitions were organized. Program coordinator Prof. Lokesh Vijayvargy shared that 250 participants from different Institutes like MNIT, Amity, JCRC, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, JNIT, Poornima College, JNU, Manipal University, IRM, IIIM etc. hypnotized all the audiences by exhibiting their performances in traditional Guajarati style.
The Event was inaugurated by Dr. J. D. Singh, Director General, Jaipuria Institute of Management. He appreciated and encouraged all the participants for the highly competitive spirits.
In the later evening the winners from various competitions were announced. The award winners for the best couple Dandiya dance competition were from Jaipuria Institute of Management Jaipur and the runner ups were from JERC. The best Male Dandiya Dance Competition was from JERC and the best Dandiya Dress was again from Jaipuria Institute of Management Jaipur. Dr. Rajiv R Thakur distributed cash prizes and trophies to all the award winners and thanked all the participants for making this event successful.
Jaipuria Jaipur, on December 7-9 organised an international conference on creating a sustainable business, its various implications and challenges. The conference provided a platform for deliberations to achieve sustainability in terms of business by sharing and considering examples and scenarios, defining a set of guiding principles for the future, and applying them into business plans and models.
The International Conference on Creating a Sustainable Business: Managerial Implications and Challenges (ICSBMC-12) focussed on strategic management and creating a sustainable business, developmental models and sustainability, human resource and sustainable development, ecological, social and economic sustainability, and environmental sustainability through engineering practices, according to a release issued by the institute.
An assembly of business, government, civil society, students and local populace gathered in Jaipuria Jaipur to discuss the fundamental value of managerial dexterity to creating rational and tenable businesses.
A large number of foreign representatives also participated in the conference and papers were submitted from countries like the USA, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iraq, Finland, Spain, and Canada. A total of 185 abstracts were received and 18 of them were from overseas. Contributors discussed ways to transform managerial commitments into tangible and viable actions by developing proposals towards incorporating diversities and assertions into progressive strategies and plans, the release said.
The chief guest in this occasion was Padma Bhushan (Dr) V S Vyas, member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, and the guest of honour was Dr B S Sahay, director, Indian Institute of Management, Raipur. Other eminent speakers were Prof Dilip Chhajed, director of TMP, College of Business, University of Illinois, USA; J K Dubey, general manager (network), State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur; Prof James M Leaman, director, Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, USA; Ms Leela Bordia, CEO of Neerja International, Jaipur; and Prof Madhu Khanna, professor, University of Illinois, USA, to name a few.
The Third National Workshop on “Export Import and Forex Mechanism” is designed to have sustainable competitive advantage in the globalized economy.
