Shivani’s Curiosity to learn got her to Lido Learning

“It’s not just the B School’s responsibility to create learning experiences for you but up to the students as well to make the most out of them,” says Shivani Shah, who not only exudes confidence but also likes to take ownership of her part of the learning process. In fact, PGDM Batch 2018 – 20 students of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow asserts that during her placement interview she showcased her learner’s attitude, which appealed to her employers. She has walked away with a placement with Lido Learning with Rs. 7.8 LPA salary package.

Shivani had worked for almost a year with T.I.M.E. Pvt. Ltd. Varanasi Center before she enrolled for the PGDM program at Jaipuria, which is one of the best B-schools in Lucknow, UP. Her eagerness to learn and boost her credentials got the best platform she could have asked for. “I was part of the Academic Programme Committee of SEC and then the Class Representative. Right from the Business Orientation Competition to working on research papers and presenting them on big platforms, I made the most of every opportunity. I not only participated in the events but bagged medals too,” she says filled with pride.

With her specializations in Finance and Marketing, Shivani got another strong platform through her internship with HDFC Ltd. Her takeaways were many and the rewards stupendous. She won the second prize for her summer internship report at the inter-college event, Intern Arena 2019. Looking back on the experience she says, “It taught me the importance of taking initiative. No one in the corporate world is going to explain to you how to work. It is up to you to understand the task, interact with your superiors and deliver the performance that is expected from you.”

Shivani not only brought that experience but her award-winning internship report to the placement drive. I have always seen that one’s willingness to learning is appreciated. I think for me my biggest achievement on the campus has been the respect I have earned. I treasure that along with this placement that will define my corporate journey in many ways,” she concludes on a thoughtful note.
