On 11 December Skyline University College, University of Sharjah, UAE and Jaipuria Institute of Management signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see wide-ranging academic collaboration between the two institutions in the coming days.
Grounded in the sharing of knowledge, skills, and expertise, the MoU will facilitate faculty and student exchange at post graduate levels and joint educational programs and research activities. The MoU seeks to establish a robust framework for learning across borders to enable international exposure for students pursuing education in the two institutions. Shared goals, flexibility of approach, and the cooperative vein of this MoU will help to establish a unique platform for valuable academic and cultural interactions.
The MoU establishes closer international ties for mutual benefit between two institutes of excellence and repute: Jaipuria Institute of Management, which offers PGDM programs at four world class campuses in Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur, and Indore, and Skyline University College, which believes in responding innovatively and effectively to train human resources and fulfil the educational needs of a range of industries.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Amitabh Upadhya (Dean, Skyline University College, Sharjah, UAE) and Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria (Vice Chairman, Jaipuria Institute of Management). Dr. Kavita Pathak (Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida), Dr. Poonam Sharma (Dean, International Relations), Professor Ashok Advani (Executive Member, IRC), and Professor Ajay Bansal (Programme Director) were present on the occasion.
Welcoming the distinguished delegation, Dr. Kavita Pathak outlined the similarities between India and Dubai, their multi-ethnic and multicultural strengths, IT prowess, and the common vision of bolstering the economy by improving the quality of education. Sharing the vision, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya stressed, ‘One of the key solutions to be one of the top 30 countries in the world is to challenge overwhelming change in education.’ Expressing his desire that this MoU be implemented and practiced in the long run, he hoped the association with Jaipuria Institute of Management would prove fruitful for both the institutions.
With the promise of constant endeavours to nurture the bond, there was further discussion on the possibility of setting up an Immersion Program for students of both the institutions. To honour and commemorate this signal partnership, a memento was presented to Dr. Amitabh Upadhya.
Inspired by its guiding principles, Jaipuria Institute of Management has taken another bold step to strengthen its offering of holistic management education.
