ZAIKAA - Cooking Competition

Chop! Sauté! Sizzle! And simmer! All to perfection. Plate it up like filling a canvas, eager to cradle a piece of art, for you eat with all your senses alive. And when you eat with your eyes first, the culinary art of plating is the new rave. Put on your chef's hat and whip up a novelty with your deft hands and let the dams of saliva break. Let the aromas of spices add some oomph to the plates. Bon appetite!

General Rules:

The event comprises of 2 Rounds:

  1. Preliminary Round
  2. Final Round

It is a Solo Event.

ROUND 1

  • Participants are free to choose their dish.
  • Participants can make minimum one to maximum four food item for contest.
  • Participants will be required to take live photos while cooking in 5 stages:
    1. Click a picture with selected ingredients.
    2. Click a picture while cooking the dish.
    3. Click a picture after completion.
    4. Click a picture holding the dish your hand.
    5. Participants must also record preparation video of minimum 1 minute.
  • All the photos/videos shall be uploaded via Google form.
  • Maximum file size: 1 MB per item.

ROUND 2 Criteria

Finalists from Round 1 will be eligible for Round 2. In this round, pictures of the dish will be posted on Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur’s Extra-Curricular Committee Instagram page. Social Media Engagement will carry 10% weightage in evaluation. Winners will be evaluated on the basis of likes, views, comments along with the criteria mentioned in Round 1.

Judgment criteria:

  • Professional Preparation: preparation should be practical, acceptable methods that exclude unnecessary ingredients.
  • Arrangement and presentation/ innovation, clean arrangement, with no artificial garnishes. Exemplary plating to ensure an appetizing appearance is optional.

BUZZ OF BIZ - Business Quiz

If you have been called “the know-it-all” or “the newspaper geek” way too often, then this is definitely where you belong. It's about time you put all the “Did you know?” facts to use. Get ready to be bamboozled!

General Rules:

  • It is a Solo Event. The quiz will be conducted via Kahoot.
  • There will be 30 multiple choice questions related to the world of Business.
  • Quiz duration: 15 minutes

Pre-Requisites:

  • Participants should have 2 devices with them for this event- one for attending the zoom session: second for attempting the quiz.

General Guidelines:

  • Participants will be required to login on “kahoot.it” using the Game PIN which will be shared on spot.
  • Participants will have to use their full names for registering in the live quiz.
  • Any participant who will use a nickname will be disqualified from the quiz and will not be eligible to receive any participation certificate.
  • The results will be declared right after the completion of the quiz.

RANGSHALA - Rangoli Competition

Abhudaya brings you Rangoli Making. So, what's new? It is an oxymoron through and through: Traditionally Modern. Rangoli making is an art, and just like any art it pushes artists' boundaries beyond the ordinary. Even colours can wan down by stale ideas, so sparkle the vista of your Rangshala with your unique voice. Do your vistas imbue your voice? If so, then Rangshala is just for you.

General Rules:

The event comprises of 2 Rounds:

  1. Preliminary Round
  2. Final Round

It is a Solo Event.

Round 1:

  • Rangoli art should be of 3 ft. x 3 ft.
  • Theme of Rangoli is The New Normal.
  • There will be only one round of competition.
  • 50-100-word description of the rangoli has to be submitted.
  • 2 Front end pictures of complete rangoli in PDF form.
  • Minimum 1-minute video of rangoli while making.
  • Multiple entries are not allowed.

ROUND 2

Criteria: Finalists from Round 1 will be eligible for Round 2. STROKES - Sketching Competition

Create an artwork, an assemblage of different forms; recreate a new tapestry of your expressions. This is your chance to portray your creativity and to transform your oneiric composition and outlook into reality.

Round 1:

  • It is a Solo Event. White or any Handmade paper or chart of minimum A4 /A3 size can be used.
  • It has to be an original composition.
  • Participants are required to take live photos while sketching in 5 stages:
  • 1. Click a picture with prepared materials.
    2. Click a picture while Sketching.
    3. Click a picture after completion.
    4. Click a picture holding the sketch in your hand.
    5. Participants must also record their Sketching video of minimum 1 minute.
  • Submission file should not exceed 1 MB for each item.

ROUND 2

Criteria: Finalists from Round 1 will be eligible for Round 2. In this round, pictures of your sketch will be posted on Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur’s Extra-Curricular Committee Instagram page. PANACHE - Modelling Competition

I express when I speak, I impress when I move, and I make heads turn around when I dazzle! Now, to dazzle is not only when it's about shimmers but confidence, attire, walking stance and attitude too.

So, get ready to step up as you glam up because all that dim lights await our shining stars.

Team Size: Individual

Round 1:

  1. Participants are expected to submit at least 5 photos of themselves.
  2. Photos should have at least one each of the following shots - (Full Length Body shot, Editorial Fashion shot, Smiling shot, Beauty shot)
  3. Selected participants will qualify to round 2.

Judging Criteria: Apparel Design, Poses, Personality, Grooming, Creativity, Overall Impact.

General Rules:

Photoshop manipulation and adding additional elements is not allowed. However, basic editing, enhancement, and cropping is allowed without affecting the genuineness of the photo.

Round 2:

  • A theme will be given to the selected participants.
  • They are expected to design their apparel according to the theme and make an Instagram reel of their ramp walk or any sort of creative video showcasing the apparel and the theme.
  • Time limit - 30 seconds (according to Instagram).
  • The videos will be uploaded on Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur’s Extra-Curricular Committee Instagram page for social media engagement (Likes, Comments and Reach) which will carry 10% weightage.

HOT STEPPER - Solo Dance Competition

Lights in the room cast a romantic glow and wait for you to come and dance on its fiddling tunes. Wake up and feel your legs, jump high and dance with great delight. Mesmerize the audience with your sway, dance your way down the rostrum and become the star you dreamt of. Display your brilliance; our stage gives you the chance to flaunt your best moves. Dance in glory!

ROUND 1: Preliminary Round

  • Participant to submit a video of maximum 1:30 minutes, the file size should not exceed 20 MB. Exceeding the time limit will lead to negative marking.
  • All dance forms are allowed, including Western, Bollywood, Classical, Traditional, Jazz, Hip-Hop etc.
  • Use of props are voluntary (Multiple props can also be used)
  • All the finalists will be notified for Round 2.

ROUND 2: Final Round

  • The Video of Finalists will be posted on Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur’s Extra-Curricular Committee Instagram page for social media engagement (Likes, Comments and Reach) which will carry 10% weightage. No unfair practice would be allowed to bring number of likes, comments, views.

STEP-UP - Group Dance

General Rules:

  • The event comprises of 2 Rounds:
    1. Preliminary Round
    2. Final Round
  • Each team must comprise minimum of 4 and maximum of 12 members. Only one person is supposed to register on behalf of the entire team.
  • Vulgarity and obscenity at any point is strictly prohibited. It will lead to immediate disqualification. Songs to be chosen accordingly.
  • Unlimited participation from any Institute is allowed, however, the team should consist of members from same college and no single member can be a part of multiple teams.

ROUND 1: Preliminary Round

TINT IT - Tattoo Making Competition

A tattoo is a true poetic creation possessing more than what meets the eye having power and magic of its own.

General Guidelines:

The event consists of 2 Round:

  • Preliminary Round – (Tattoo Making)
  • Final Round – (Social Engagement)

Round 1: Preliminary Round (Tattoo Making)

  • Team Size: Individual
  • Theme for Tattoo – Open
  • Tattoo can be made by using any of the following: Maker pen, glitter pen, ball pen, sketch pen and other decorative items. Use of Water colors and Poster colors is not allowed.
  • Tattoo can be made on Arms, forearm, wrist, neck and ankle.
  • Participant can encourage their friend and family member for tinting the tattoo.
  • Photographs required - 3 and from different angle. File size-under 20 MB
  • Video of inking the tattoo should be submitted in which the participant must be identifiable.
  • Length of video should not exceed 1 minute (can be fast forward). File size – under 25 MB
  • Any obscenity or vulgarity will lead to immediate disqualification

Round 2: Final Round (Social Engagement)

In the era of fashionable things, the beauty of handmade gifts has its own happiness.

Team Size: Solo Entry

Round 1:

  • Participants are expected to submit at least 5 photos of the handmade item which should include the following - Top view, side view, portrait image, and more as per your choice.
  • A fast-forward video of the process also to be submitted. (Participant must be visible in the video.) The file size should not exceed 10 MB.
  • Participants are free to choose any kind of decorative materials.

Round 2:

  • Video and pictures of Qualifier’s will be posted on Jaipuria Institute of Management Jaipur’s Extra-Curricular Committee Instagram page.
  • Qualifiers are required to bring maximum engagement on their videos. (Likes, comments and reach)

Street photography today can vary greatly in how it looks and how it was made, but there are common elements that thread the work of all the greats: a love for the unexpected and candid moments of life, an ability to find visual order within the chaos of the world, and an unparalleled creative vision.

The Rules and Regulation are as follows:

  • The contest is open for Online Submission
  • Individual Entries.
  • Photograph should be renamed with Name_CollegeName. (i.e. JagjeetSingh_Jaipuria)
  • It can be in Landscape/Portrait mode.
  • Photographs can be captured through DSLR, Mirrorless, Point and Shoot, Smartphone, Action Cameras.
  • The photograph must be original, and watermarks are not allowed.
  • Photographs should be no larger than 10 MB and must be in JPEG format.
  • You are required to provide a unique Title for the Photograph submitted.
  • Basic editing, including colour enhancement and cropping of the Photograph is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and genuineness of the photo.
  • Top Participants will qualify for Round 2
  • Submission details and name of qualifiers will be informed to you via mail.
  • Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.

Eligibility Criteria:

All undergraduate or post graduate students from any discipline shall be allowed to participate in the event.

  2. Only plain white T-shirts with minimum of 'M' size are allowed.
  3. Use of any other materials or ready-made stickers is strictly prohibited.

Participants have to make a meme on the topics mentioned below and have to submit it via Google form. Memes are a way of expressing a culturally relevant idea while tickling a bone or two. Memes are intended to elicit humour. These are ideals for digital age.

  • Participants are supposed to post their creation on their Instagram handles.
  • Participants have to submit their creation via link provided to them through mail.
  • To deem their entry valid, participant must be following @ecc_jaipuria, the official Instagram handle of Abhyudaya ’20 and has to tag @ecc_jaipuria in their post.
  • Instagram account of the participant should be public.
  • Memes prepared by the participant must not contain any obscene words or any subject which might hurt the feelings of any culture/community/language/region/religion.
  • Any sign of Plagiarism will not be entertained.

    THE BIG FIGHT! - Debate Competition

    >There is nothing more powerful than logic and reason used wisely to prove a point. It's your chance to pull the argument in your favour, exhibit your oratory skills and come out as a champion. Let your voice be above all and let your vistas be the reason for your victory!

    A structured debate competition to evoke the public speaker within you. With the turn of events in 2020, digital life imagined earlier is becoming a reality today. To be future ready we need to master the skills needed, speaking up is one of them. A digital event to bring the big fight on the table.

    The rules and regulations are as follows:
    1. All information will be shared via mail.
    2. Registrations will close on 1st December 2020. Note: First 40 entries will be considered.
    3. Asian Parliamentary Debate (APD) format.
    4. The Big Fight will have two rounds: a. Round 1: Qualification round (Turncoat format): video submission.
      b. Round 2: Final round (APD), live on zoom.
    5. All debates will be in English language only.
    6. Sides and sequence will be picked via a draw, prior to the Final round.
    7. Time limit of the speeches must be strictly adhered.
    8. Participants will be alerted 15 seconds prior and 5 seconds past the allotted time.
    9. Participants will not be allowed to read any written content.
    10. In case of a dispute, decision of the judges/ faculty or coordinators will be final.
    11. School students not enrolled at any Undergrad institute will not be eligible for registration.

    Format:

    1. For round 1 (Qualification round), Individuals to submit arguments for and against on a specified topic in turncoat format as a video.
    2. Details of the submission for the qualification (Turncoat) round will be shared on 11th December 2020, by EOD to the registered participants.
    3. Results of qualification round will be declared to the selected students via e-mail along with the details for final round.
    4. The final round will be conducted on 11th December 2020, live on Zoom.
    5. Format for the Qualification (Turncoat) round:

    Turncoat format: This is a style of debating in which an individual is allotted a certain amount of time to speak on the given motion. The debater has to divide the time allotted to them in equal halves (time allotted above) wherein they speak for the motion in the first half and then halfway through, they speak against the motion.

    THE ULTIMATE KALAKAR

    Come on with a bang, woo the audience with your dramatic deluges, play your tricks and be anyone you want; for here at Abhyudaya’20, we are giving you a platform to explore different styles of acting and create another person out of yourself. Get the stage all to yourself and witness a solo drama event like no other.

    Round 1

    1. Team size: Individual
    2. The act should be in Hindi or English or both.
    3. Performance must consist of a single consistent act with no blackouts.
    4. The video must be recorded from a static camera. Videos having multiple angles/moving cameras are strictly not allowed.
    5. Use of special effects/filters is strictly not allowed. Basic cropping, layout editing, etc are allowed.
    6. Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind, is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
    7. Violation of any rules will lead to disqualification from subsequent rounds.
    8. Participant must submit the video via Google form. (File limit: 25 MB)
    9. A maximum of 2 to 2.5 minutes will be given to each candidate. Exceeding the time limit will lead to negative marking.
    10. Use of props is allowed.

    Round 2

    • Qualifiers from Round 1 will present live on Zoom
    • Qualifiers can use their own props.
    • Maximum time of 5 minutes will be allotted to each candidate.
    • Participant must submit the video of the same act, which they will present on Zoom. (file limit 50 MB)

    Master Plan - Business Plan

    How much do you know when it comes to finance and economics? Here’s a chance to build upon that financial repertoire of yours and sharpen your business acumen. Master Plan provides you a platform to boast about your financial literacy and general economic awareness. Test your understanding of core financial knowledge against the best in the game and astound the jury with your business insights. With fierce competition and loads of rewards to be won, this sure is going to be a nerve-wracking contest.

    GUIDELINES: Participation can be on an individual basis or team. Maximum number of participants in a team will be 3-4.

    • The registering ideas/ start-ups can be from any stage i.e. from Idea stage to a full-fledged running business.
    • The Concept/ Idea/ Product/ Service should be experimental.

    ROUND 1: For first level screening of idea, the participants may send the following:

    • One-minute video explaining the concept.
    • Two-page Summary giving brief details about customer, value proposition and POC/MVP. (summary including Business Model Canvas in the form of pdf with a file name “ECC20_BP_Collegename_Summary”)
    • The size of file/video should not exceed 10 MB.

    ROUND 2 (ZOOM):

    • This round will be conducted on Zoom, all the qualifiers have to give their presentation on their business plan.
    • The presentation shall consist of Vision and Mission Statements, Market Analysis, Marketing and financial plan, SWOT analysis and other standard appropriate methods to justify the feasibility of the business.
    • Selected teams will present their Business Plan before a panel of External Judges/Faculty Members
    • Each team shall be given (7+3) minutes to deliver their presentation and for Q&A.

    One Mic Stand - Stand-Up Comedy

    Smiles which follow laughter are rare, and some moments promise to stay. Have you ever been the eye candy to escape-seekers? Do you wish to delve into lives and spirits of people to etch characters out of your hobby of people watching? Or do you wish to project the coarse truths or hypocrisy of the society in a lighter mood? Either way, we have the mic for you. Scratch, scrutinize and pun it up!

    General Rules:

    The event comprises of 2 Rounds:

    1. Preliminary Round
    2. Final Round

    ROUND 1:

    • Individual Event.
    • Participant is free to choose any topic.
    • Participant have to submit the video via Google form. (File limit 25 Mb)
    • A maximum of 1.5 minutes will be given to each candidate. Exceeding the time limit will lead to deduction in marks.
    • Participants can use props (not mandatory).

    ROUND 2:

    • Qualifiers selected from round 1 will present live on Zoom.
    • Qualifiers will be given a Theme.
    • Maximum time of 3 minutes will be allotted to each candidate.
    • Participant have to submit the video of their stand-up comedy on the given topic, which they will present on Zoom. Submission link would be provided via mail. (file limit 25 Mb)

    Judgment Criteria: Stage Persona, Creative Material, Crowd Reaction, Memorization of Lines, Professionalism, New Material

    Business Case Study Presentation

    GUIDELINES: Participation can be on an individual basis or team. Maximum number of participants in a team will be 4.

    Round 1: (To be submitted)

    • For first level screening, the participants may send the following:
    • A case will be given to the participants with the problems, participants need to identify and provide innovative solutions to the case study.
    • Two-page Summary giving brief details about the problem which company faces and their solutions.
    • A Short Presentation on the case with the description to the case and solutions drawn.
    • Summary in the form of pdf and presentation with a file name “ECC20_BP_Collegename_Summary”.
    • The size of files should not exceed 10 MB each.

    Round 2:

    For Final round, the team qualified from round 1 will be asked to do the following:

    • To deliver Presentation on their case study and to submit the same
    • Case Study Presentation will be done on Zoom.
    • Link to the Zoom session will also be sent over the same registered mail ID they have given in the google form.

    VANTAGE Ad-Mad Competition

    How often do you find yourself skipping advertisements or impatiently waiting for an ad to get over? And how often do you come across ones that you could watch over and over again because they are witty and humorous?! Surely, there aren’t half as many! So, here’s your chance to take charge! Jaipuria gives you a chance to create your very own advertisement and be as creative, funny, educational and entertaining as possible! The only ads that we actually watch are the ones we find most engaging, so here is your chance to command the attention of thousands and to showcase your creativity and directing skills in an advertisement that will spread your message on a tremendous platform!

    Participant will be asked to create a marketing plan including creating a full-fledged creative campaign. Participant have to present a conceptual ad of either a product or a service. Participant will act out and present ideas relevant to the product/service assigned.

    Rules and Regulation:

    • Each team will comprise of 2-5 members.
    • There will be 2 rounds.
    • A list of brands would be mailed to you after the registration, out of which you have to choose a brand and shoot a commercial, a jingle, a logo and a punch line of the product.
    • Submission link will be provided in the mail itself along with the submission date, where you have to submit the video ad comprising of the above-mentioned elements.
    • Time duration of the Ad should be maximum of 2:30 minutes and the size of the file should be less than 25 MB.
    • Round 1, i.e. elimination would be done on the basis of videos submitted.
    • In Round 2, the qualifying teams has to present their product in front of the jury.
    • They have to present their Ad over “ZOOM” (also they have to prepare a pre-recorded video for the same, just in case there is any technical glitches.)
    • The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all participants.

    RAISE YOUR MIC - Solo Singing Competition

    Are you the one singing up a storm around the house? Or the one, bringing life to all the reunions and parties by humming melodious tunes? All the singers, it is time to pull up your socks as it’s time to raise your mics. You have a chance to exhibit your singing skills and sweep us off our feet.

    General Rules:

    The event comprises of 2 Rounds:

    1. Preliminary Round
    2. Final Round

    It is a Solo Event.

    ROUND 1:

    • Participant is free to sing in English or Hindi song according to their choice
    • Participant must submit the video via Google form. [File size Limit: 25 MB]
    • The video should be of 2 to 2.5 minutes. Exceeding the time limit will lead to negative marking.
    • Usage of musical instrument or any background music is prohibited.

    ROUND 2:

    • Finalists from Round 1 will present live on Zoom.
    • Participants can use their own instrument or instrumental music/ karaoke.
    • Maximum time allotted would be 2.5 minutes. Exceeding the time limit will lead to negative marking.
    • Participant must submit a video of the same song, which they will present on Zoom. (File Size Limit: 25 MB.)
